Last weekend we had our friends over along with their kids Jonathan and Hailee for a play date. Jonathan is just over 3 months older than Lyla and Hailee is 7 weeks older than Hayden. It's so nice to have close friends in the area that have kids our age so we can get together for some adult time and the kids can have fun as well.
Lyla and Jonathan were shy at first but once they got comfortable they had a blast chasing and reading to each other. They did a great job showing us all the animal noises they knew and I made sure to get that on video tape for future viewings when they are older!
Hayden and Hailee were already playing on the play mat together.
Even though they are 7 weeks apart, they are almost the same size!
Hayden graduated to sleeping in her crib this week. She only cries in the middle of the night when it's feeding time but she grunts a lot in her sleep and has been keeping Matt and I up a lot. We decided it was time to move her to her room and just introduced the nuk to her a couple days ago. The first night she slept great in her crib but the second night she didn't settle in very well so I put her in her car seat for part of the night. I think if she can keep her nuk in her mouth longer than a couple minutes, she will do great.
We are off to the fair this weekend. Lyla is excited to see all the animals and ride the ponies. I'm excited for fair food!
